Coffee with the Principal: An Engaging Discussion with Mr. Loia

Over the past few weeks, Principal Mr. Loia has been hosting Basilica School parents for a series of "Coffee with the Principal" events. These gatherings are organized by student grade levels, allowing parents to connect and learn more about their children's education.

Previous events focused on Pre-Kindergarten parents, while upcoming sessions will cater to other grade levels. During these meetings, parents gain valuable insights into their children's class curriculum, including details on book lists and study skills. Additionally, the open forum allows them to ask questions and fosters a strengthened partnership with the school in nurturing their children's spiritual, personal, and academic growth.

This week's Coffee with the Principal gathering for sixth-grade parents included Ms. Isabel Fraga, Assistant Principal; Mrs. Denise D'Angelo, Director of Curriculum and Instruction; Mrs. Mary Costello, Director of Middle School; and Mrs. Caroline Tadeo, Sixth-Grade ILA Teacher. They discussed nationwide grading benchmarks and how data-driven decision-making helps teachers optimize curriculum and instruction.

We are grateful for the commitment and dedication of our parents, faculty, and staff in supporting our students as they journey to become saints, stewards, and scholars. May God bless their efforts and contributions to the Basilica School community.
