Junior Catholic Daughters of the Americas Celebrate Successful Year of Service

On May 18, Junior Catholic Daughters of America celebrated a fantastic year filled with fellowship, fun and service.

 

In 2024-2025, JCDA accomplished the following:

 

September – 

We made over 90 Breakfast/Meal Packages for Catholic Charities/Christ House, helping the homeless and food insecure in our community

October – 

We made over 200 treat bags for the Porto Charities Trunk or Treat held for

parishioners with intellectual and developmental disabilities 

November – 

We made over 100 Thanksgiving Meal Packages for Catholic Charities/Christ House, helping the homeless and food insecure in our community

December – 

We made Christmas cards and decorated over 200 cookies for Sunrise Nursing Home residents 

January – 

We made posters/decorations for CDA Bingo Night and volunteered at CDA Bingo Night

February – 

We prepared and served more than 70 meals to Christ House patrons

March – 

We made 70 Rosaries as Confirmation gifts for BSSM 8 th  graders

April – 

We made over 100 Easter Packages for Christ House, helping the homeless and food insecure in our community

May – 

We collected 175 hygiene items for donation to Christ House, helping the homeless in our community
