Welcome to The Basilica School of Saint Mary!  I appreciate your visit to our website and encourage you to learn about our wonderful spiritual and academic offerings.

Our school is built on the support and dedication of our teachers, parents, and community. We understand that parents are the primary educators of their children. We look to partner with them to create a faith-filled, academic, social, and physical foundation needed for our children to succeed in the future. This past year our school and community supported one another in ways that were never needed before. We installed new safety protocols for all students and staff and were able to offer in-person instruction five days a week, as well as provide concurrent learning for families who chose to learn remotely. We persevered through the difficult circumstances, and with great help from our Lord, our students thrived. This year, our school's itheme (Isaiah 40:31) inspires us to have hope and the strength to soar.
Mr. Cinall with middle School

The Basilica School of Saint Mary is filled with dedicated, professional, and devoted faith-filled men and women. Our school is committed to developing our students into Saints, Stewards, and Scholars. Our patroness, Mary Seat of Wisdom, leads us by her example towards Christ in all that we do, whether it is through daily prayer, weekly Mass, or spiritual events and assemblies. We not only educate our students about God’s presence but provide numerous opportunities for them to grow closer to Him every day.

Our academic programs are rigorous and work to combine cutting-edge technologies with classical educational strategies and differentiation to ensure all students are given the opportunity to grow. As long-standing members of the local Alexandria community and representatives of the Catholic Church to the world, we understand the importance of doing all we can to improve our neighborhoods, as well as be stewards of care and improvement for the world.

I look forward to welcoming all of our students and having a fantastic school year.

God bless,

Mr. Daniel V. Cinalli

they will soar on eagles' wings;
They will run and not grow weary, walk
and not grow faint."  Isaiah 40:31
