Open House and School Tour
Parents of prospective students are encouraged to attend an Open House at The Basilica School of Saint Mary. The Open House offers parents the opportunity to spend a morning at the school. Prospective parents will hear from administrators and staff, tour the school with current parents and interact with current Grade 8 students. The Basilica School of Saint Mary holds two Open Houses each school year, one in November and one in January. Dates will be published soon and we ask that you RSVP to the event so may better serve you.
Our November Open House coincides with the start of our application period for the upcoming school year for families that would be new to the Basilica School of Saint Mary. We host an additional Open House in January. Applications are accepted online starting the date of the November Open House. The link to apply is posted on the Admissions Information webpage.
Open Houses begin at 8:30am in our school gym. There will be a brief reception followed by guided tours of the school. The morning concludes at 11:00am. Parking on school grounds is available. Our Open Houses give guests the opportunity to enter and observe classes in session. Guests will also have the opportunity to meet and talk with our pastor, principal, parents of current students and student ambassadors from the National Junior Honor Society.
Although we prefer that parents of prospective students attend one of the scheduled Open Houses we understand that previous commitments might get in the way. If you are unable to attend an Open House, a short tour can be scheduled after the November Open House by contacting our Enrollment Coordinator, Mrs. Sarah Christie, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 703-549-1646 x4910.
