All second and eighth grade students will continue their sacramental preparation in their on-line religion classes. Mrs. Hilary Munger, our Director of Religious Education, will communicate with the school and community for the next steps. The plan will be contingent on when and if COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.
You will notice a number of live Zooms on your child(ren)'s schedule. These Zooms are highly recommended and are the main mode of teaching that the school will utilize during this distance learning period. Those students who are unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances should watch all academic Zooms, and complete all academic work given during those Zooms, after the teacher posts them on mySMS.
At this time we have no plans to administer Scantron testing while the whole school is distance learning. As we receive more information from the diocese, we will update families with students in grades 3-7.
All subjects, including Encore and Spanish, will receive academic and effort grades this trimester and next, regardless as to whether or not we are distance learning. All sections of the report card will be filled out as usual.
Attendance will be taken in your child(ren)'s first Zoom of the day. If your child(ren) is not present in that Zoom, he or she will automatically be counted absent. If your family has a special circumstance and your child(ren) is(are) indeed present for the day, please send an email to Mrs. Kelly at firstname.lastname@example.org so that we can rectify the attendance record.
The following schedules have been created for Distance Learning. These schedules will be used if and when the building is closed due to COVID-19.
