President's Welcome

Dear Basilica School of Saint Mary Families,

My name is Ashley McCurry, and I have the honor of serving as your Home and School Association President for the 2026–2027 school year.

My husband, Troy, and I are proud parents of two Saints. Since joining The Basilica School of Saint Mary in 2021, we have witnessed firsthand the incredible growth our children have experienced both academically and spiritually. Watching them grow as saints, stewards, and scholars has shown us just how special this school community truly is. Because of that experience, the mission of the HSA is one that is very close to my heart.

The HSA exists to provide a structure through which parents, faculty, and administration partner together to support the spiritual and academic excellence of our children. We fulfill that mission through fundraising, facilitating ministry outreach, communication with school families, and the many activities that strengthen our school community.

The HSA holds monthly meetings which all parents are welcome to attend. These meetings are a great way to ask questions, share ideas, and actively engage with the school community.

In addition to our meetings, we hold many events, both social, and service-oriented throughout the year, with each one geared towards furthering our school mission of nurturing saints, stewards, and scholars.

At the heart of each HSA activity is service to our community. My hope is that this year we will pay special attention to service. Through small acts of kindness and generosity with our talents, we can continue building the strong, faith-filled community that makes our school so special. By caring for one another and serving with joyful hearts, we model for our children what it means to live as disciples of Christ.

I am grateful to serve alongside an exceptional HSA Board and the many volunteers whose dedication enriches our school. Together, we hope to create opportunities for families to connect, serve, and grow in community.
I look forward to working alongside you and seeing all that God has planned for our school community in the year ahead. May God bless our students, faculty, staff, and families throughout this school year.
