Dear Brother and Sisters In Christ,
Happy New Year! I pray that 2021 is a year filled with grace for you and your family. I ask you to also join me in praying for our devoted school faculty and staff as they continue to educate and help form our students.
For many of us, this time provides an opportunity for reflection and resolutions. In response to the numerous challenges endured in 2020, I encourage us to reflect with gratitude on the blessings God has given us and the moments in which we encountered His love and mercy. This can provide consolation in times of difficulty.
As we think about resolutions for the year ahead, the Church, in her wisdom, has given us a Year of Saint Joseph. I invite you to meditate and turn to Saint Joseph as a model on the way he was obedient to God, protected his family, labored as a carpenter and sought sanctification in the midst of the world.
Our parish website has more information about the Year of Saint Joseph. We also have prayer cards in the Basilica with Pope Francis’ prayer for the year on them. Pray this prayer with your family throughout the year as you seek Saint Joseph’s intercession.
Saint Joseph, pray for us!
Yours in Christ,
